Dimitris Varoutidis Square - Statuettes
The "Statues" were originally placed in 1956 and symbolized the recovery of refugees after the Asia Minor Catastrophe with three sculpted bronze figures of workers (a builder, a blacksmith and a carpenter). During the dictatorship, the statuettes were dismantled and transferred to the Municipality's warehouses. They were re-placed in 2004 in the square that bears the name of the hero of the National Resistance, Dimitris Varoutides.
